How to Check if a Documentary is Available in 4K Resolution
Not all documentaries are available in 4K, as 4K resolution has only become widespread in recent years. Here's how to check if a documentary has been released in 4K:
Method 1: Visit
Search for the title + "4K". If you get results, then a 4K version definitely exists.
Method 2: Use
Visit blu-ray.com and search for the title. You can easily see if the film has been released on Blu-ray. Switch to the 4K tab to check for 4K releases.
Let's use Planet Earth as an example. First, select the United States region and perform a search. You'll see that both Planet Earth I and II have Blu-ray releases.
However, when checking the 4K section, you'll find that only Planet Earth II has been released in 4K format!
